PENNELL WILLIAM G., Jr., age 84, of Zelienople, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2015. Born November 21, 1930, in Bellevue, he was the son of the late William G. and Margaret A. (Welsh) Pennell, Sr. Bill leaves behind his loving wife of 59 years, LaVerne (Dollhopf) Pennell of Zelienople; his children, Susan (Tom) Hayson of Franklin Park and William (Lorraine) B. Pennell of Sunrise, FL; his sister, Sarah (Ronald) Westerman of Pittsburgh; his five grandchildren, Carl, Elizabeth, Nicole, Kevin and Jessica; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Jaworek. Bill was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. He served as an officer in the U.S. Army and was a Korean War veteran. He retired from PPG Industries in 1992. Above all, he cherished the importance of his family. He will be dearly missed by us all. The Pennell family will welcome friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at the BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. A Funeral Ceremony will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2015, at the English Lutheran Church, 200 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, PA 16063, with the Robert A. Keplinger, officiating. (Friends please meet at church.) In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bill's honor to the English Lutheran Church, 200 E.
