Claude V. Seacrist Claude V. Seacrist, 87, of St. Albans, passed away March 11, 2015 at Thomas Hospital after a short illness.Born Feb. 23, 1928 in Whittaker, he was the son of Arthur and Lula Branham Seacrist. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Wilma; devoted daughter, Carol Seacrist; brothers, Rutfort, Roy, Russell, Romie, Bill, Ray and Ronald; and sisters, Virginia, Pansy and Genalista.Claude attended Greenbrier Military School and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II of the occupation troops. Also, he attended Morris Harvey University and retired from Columbia Gas Transmission with 33 years of service.He is survived by daughter, Cindy Seacrist of St. Albans; son, Carl Seacrist and his wife, Debbie; grandchildren, Lindsey and Brandon, all of St. Albans; and brother, Rudy Seacrist of Charleston.Celebration of Claude's life will be noon Saturday, March 14, at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home, St. Albans, with Pastor Michael Craigo officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans, with military graveside rites conducted by St. Albans VFW 6418 and American Legion Post 73.Gathering of family and friends will be 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, also at the funeral home.
