Robert M. Reider, 85, died February 11, 2014.
Born in Akron, he was the son of Gertrude and Marvin E. Reider. He was a graduate of Greenbrier Military School in Lewisburg, WV and attended Kent State University. Robert was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
At the death of his father, he became manager and one of the owners of Reider Manufacturing of 30 years and for a short time worked at the Akron Regional Development Board and Howell-Viggers Reality. Robert was a member of Star Lodge #187 , AF&AM, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite and was active in the Tadmor Temple Shrine and the Legion of Honor Unit

Preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Nicholas Jordan, he leaves his loving wife, Rita; daughter, Susan (Mike) Rudolph; son, Robert (Barbara) Reider, Jr; loving granddaughter, Elisabeth Jordan; sister, Marjorie (George) Mortimer; and nephew, James (Pauline) Mortimer.

Dr. David Weyrick will conduct funeral services Saturday at 11am Masonic service Friday at the funeral home.Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery
