Harold Lloyd Baisden, age 71 passed from this life on May 19, 2012. He was the much beloved father of Eva Baisden Canitano and Lisa Baisden Towery. Our Dad loved his son in laws, Joseph Canitano and Roger Towery. He truly adored his three grandchildren, Courtney Canitano, Matthew Towery and Michael Towery and they have so many special memories of the years they spent together. We will forever cherish the many trips we took over the years, our camping adventures, hiking and walks on the beach. We will always think of him when we see the leaves change in Fall, a beautiful waterfall or talking with our children around the fire. We were blessed to remain close and committed as a family over the years. We will continue to carry on his legacy and are thankful to so many of you who have reached out to us over the years. He truly felt loved and appreciated by all of you.

He was a 1958 graduate of Greenbrier Military School and Marshall University. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a retired Fairfax County police officer as well as serving the Prince William County Sheriff’s Department. It was truly his honor to serve in that capacity.

He also leaves behind a sister, Carolyn Sue Crum and her husband Doug, brother, Darvin and his wife Nancy, sister Kaye and husband Richard. He cherished his nieces and nephews, James, John, Walter, Ben, Sandi and Travis. We would also like to acknowledge his special relationship with his cousin, Earl Baisden as well as his very dear friend, Chuck Cohenour.

What has been our earthly loss is certainly Heaven’s gain. We have truly been blessed by this special man. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
