Donald "Don" E. Ripley died August 7, 2016.

He was born on December 13, 1934 in Buchanan, Virginia, and graduated from Buchanan High School. He attended Greenbrier Military Academy, graduated from Emory and Henry College and retired from Virginia Department of Transportation as a resident engineer in Luray.

He was an elder of Louisa Presbyterian Church for many years of which he loved. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Louisa Lions Club.
Surviving him and cherishing his memory are his wife, Ann Harper Ripley; his family, Connie Lloyd, Dwayne Lloyd, Sarah Perkinson, Harper Lloyd, Elizabeth Lloyd, Jesse Harper, cousins and beloved friends.

A memorial service was held at the Louisa Presbyterian Church, Louisa, VA.
