A message from John Romine, Michael Crews and Denton Staley.
Alumni and Friends,
Many of you enjoyed last year’s celebration of the history and legacy of Greenbrier Military School and our Alumni Association. That reunion was a fitting close to the story of both of those much loved organizations. We have now turned over our accumulated funds to the respective scholarship funds and eliminated expenses and overhead of the Association so that we have maximized the amount that feeds those scholarships well into the future. We would encourage you to continue donating to those scholarships to continue our legacy. Some of you have asked, “is there something we can do to stay in touch with our Greenbrier family”, specifically with a “Gathering”.
On June 5th, the three of us met with officials from WVSOM at the school to discuss that possibility of holding a small reunion the third weekend in October as our usual weekend. We were warmly welcomed and assured that we were welcome to use the Sharp Center for a friendly gathering, without any charge. They further offered to cater a Barbecue for a very reasonable fee per plate. Since we have no budget to work with, we will all have to pay the bills as we go. Here are the details as of this notice:
Event; Saturday October 17th, 6-10 PM, Sharp Center, WVSOM
Tickets, per person, $30
Purely Cash bar (wine and beer only)

Free time to enjoy beautiful Greenbrier County
Registration reopens at 4 PM
Retreat 5:00 PM Sharp Center flagpole
Dinner served, 6:00 PM
Music by Teresa Gaffney, 7-9 PM
Registration by mail will begin Monday, July 6th and close on Tuesday September 8th.
You must pre-register and pay to enter the dining area. No tickets will be available at the door. Friends and family are welcome. If you would like to pay for an extra ticket that can be used to invite GMS faculty, please include that in your registration. You may register by sending your check made out to GMS Gathering and mail to the following address:
