George William “Billy” McCall, Jr., age 88, of Cedar Bluff, Virginia died on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 in Bristol, Tennessee.
Mr. McCall was born in Huntington, WV on August 19, 1927 to the late George William McCall, Sr. and Lula Catherine Cunningham McCall. Bill had attended Richlands High School and was a graduate of the Greenbrier Military School. He served his country in the US Navy and went on to attend the University of Richmond, graduating in 1950. He was also a member of the Kappa Alpha Order (Eta Chapter). On March 19, 1955, he married the love of his life and the mother of his children, the late Vivian Sewell McCall. Bill was a coal operator, a real estate developer, stockbroker and was very active in the community as an organizer for Clinch Valley Bank and Trust, and an organizer for First Sentinel Bank. Bill was a charter member of the Tazewell County Country Club and, at the time of his death, was the longest active member of the club. Bill helped organize the Richlands Midget League Football Program with the guidance of the late Coach Ernie Hicks. He was a member of the Cedar Bluff United Methodist Church and a member of the Richlands Masonic Lodge #318 AF & AM for 65 years. He had lived all of his life in the Richlands and Cedar Bluff areas and was a diehard Richlands Big Blue Tornado fan.

Sons: George William McCall, III and wife, Lyn of Cedar Bluff, Virginia Marcus Sewell McCall and wife, Dana of Greenville, SC John Milton McCall, II of Cedar Bluff, Virginia Joseph Winston McCall and wife, Karen of Richlands, Virginia Twelve Grandchildren: Anna McCall Culpepper, Benjamin Lee Culpepper, Vivian Kathryn Culpepper, Haley Kathryn McCall and fiancée, Matthew McClaren, Connor William McCall, Brittany Holland McCall, Virginia Lee McCall and fiancée, Travis Brannon, Marcus Sewell McCall, Jr., John Milton McCall, III, Brittany Leigh Allen McCall, Joseph (Joey) Winston McCall, II, and William Grant McCall.
