Walter David “Chick” Haught ’56, died March 21, 2015 in Huntsville AL at the home of his eldest son. He was born January 8, 1938, the son of Mr. & Mrs. W. Fred Haught in Huntington, WV. He was known as “Chick to his close friends and David to his business acquaintances.

After graduating from Greenbrier Military School in 1955, he returned to GMS for a post graduate year before entering Georgia Tech, earning a degree in Industrial Engineering and worked for Alcoa Packaging and Machinery in Inglewood, CO, but traveled the world for business and pleasure.

Chick and his wife Patti (Barker)had five (5) children, 2 boys with three daughters in between. After retiring from Alcoa, they retired to Florida during the winter and to the mountains of North Carolina for the hottest months. He has three (3) brother in the Huntington WV area.

Chick enjoyed most sports, especially golf, entering many tournaments and playing with friends on a regular basis.
