2021 Reunion Refund Application

Greetings to all GMS Alumni and Friends,

On Friday morning, September 10, the GMSAA Board of Directors held an emergency Zoom meeting to discuss the status of this year’s reunion scheduled to be held October 15 through the 18th. The Board was concerned about the extremely high number of Covid cases being reported in Greenbrier County and all of West Virginia. After discussing all of the issues thoroughly, all of the Board Members on the call voted unanimously to postpone this years’ reunion to next October.

We have been in contact with officials at WVSOM for the past month as they have been monitoring the Covid situation closely. A few days ago, they made the decision to close down all buildings on campus day and night, to all those who did not have building access cards as well as modifying food service on campus. We were told they made this decision because of the increased Covid situation in the community. They did not close their campus. It was made clear that GMS alumni and friends could come on campus.
We were also informed that the local Greenbrier Valley Medical Center was at its maximum capacity treating COVID patients.

Because of the high number of Covid cases in the community, the restrictions in place at the school trying to prevent Covid on their campus, and the issues at the local hospital, we felt we had an obligation to our alumni, the community, and WVSOM to make this decision.

If you have already sent in your money for the reunion, please submit the application below. Your refund will be processed as soon as possible.

This was not an easy decision. All of the Board Members wanted our alumni and friends to have a great reunion this year. Unfortunately, this is a situation that was certainly unforeseen.

Let’s look forward to 2022. Greenbrier Forever.
